ITAV Juneteenth Village Fest

Juneteenth Village Fest provides a space for the ITAV Family of Schools, partner organizations, and the broader community to commemorate the liberation of African descendants from the institution of slavery. The fest is in Anna & Frederick Douglass Park ~ A powerful space with meaning to our Village Leadership Academy students responsible for renaming the park.

Holding space for the celebration of the name change and the freedom celebration was important. The logo and other design elements came from the school’s existing branding. The colors focus on the bright yellows and reds of the African diaspora and then continue to black and green. Gradients and patterns created with their existing branding allow this event brand to be around for years.
